The story of Deus Ex Machina begins with a fascination with motorbikes in Sydney, Australia in 2006; founded by Dare Jennings of 80s and 90s surfwear brand Mambo as an extension of his passion for customised bikes. Deus Ex Machina holds the philosophy of lifestyle and culture over product, creating a following of subcultures including skaters, surfers, musicians and adventurers.

The Deus outlet was founded as a creative space, quickly deemed ‘The Temple of Enthusiasm’ as a cultural sanctuary tying together artist studios, workshops, and independent designers. The brand expanded to Bali and then opened flagship stores in LA, Cape Town, Milan and Biarritz to name but a few, spreading the ideology that “There’s no right way to do individualism, it’s all the same juice”.

The latest collection includes some premium mid and heavyweight short-sleeve and long-sleeve t-shirts with vintage-inspired and modern graphics, some cosy sweatshirts for the colder months ahead and a classic trucker hat, perfect for year-round wear.
