Puma travels back in time for a reissue of a classic terrace shoe, the Puma Weekend OG. This unique ‘70s trainer was revered for its subtle branding, trading in the classic side stripe for golden text, set against a chestnut brown suede upper (the original colourway) and finished with a retro woven label to the tongue.

Other details include a textured mid and outsole with a vintage feel, neutral heel panels and a cushioned collar for comfort. The Weekend was originally created at a time when trainers were only used in the context of sports or exercise and helped pave the way for them to be worn casually, whilst still emphasising a sense of luxury. This marked the beginning of a fusion of sports and streetwear that would quickly become the norm, as people began championing comfort outside of their working lives.
