This instalment of Wellgosh Wears sees our guy Ardy blend some killer pieces for this oversized techy fit. Let’s start with the unique soft shell cap from And Wander, with a water-resistant Polartec construction and dual fastening toggles at the crown and base, making it breathable and wearable as a neck warmer. This outdoor-ready hat features the logo of the brand formed by ex-Issey Miyake designers in a reflective safety print.

The perfect pairing for the soft shell cap is the warm and super lightweight And Wander Diamond Stitch Down Hoodie, with a Pertex Quantum Nylon outer shell stuffed with warm Allied Down insulation. This eye-catching piece comes complete with dual taped zip side pockets, a cosy padded hood and elasticated trims to keep the breeze out. A buttercream mid-layer is provided by none other than Brooklyn’s LQQK Studio, a brand created initially as a creative hub for designers and printmakers since 2010. This boxy fit sweatshirt is crafted from pure cotton, with an embroidered box logo chest motif, exaggerated ribbed hems to retain the shape and a press-stud fastened hood (a breath of fresh air from the classic drawstring hood).

South Korea’s ThisIsNeverThat are represented by a pair of comfortable, straight-leg Utility Pant with a perfectly faded overdyed finish, with two asymmetric cargo pockets, a rear pouch pocket, woven branding and drawstring ankle cuffs that look just as good rolled as they do tied. The waist is fully adjustable for the perfect fit, and the ripstop construction ensures these trousers last season on season. Finishing the look off, the Nike Air Huarache LE reimagines the 1991 sporty silhouette with a cold-as-ice colourway featuring a soft grey leather upper, black synthetic panelling and a blue and black neoprene inner sock for a well-fitting versatile kick. The chunky rubber sole keeps you covered from the street to trail (just try not to get them too muddy).

Why did you choose this outfit?

The And Wander Jacket is one of my favourite jackets of all time. I feel that me and that jacket are inseparable, plus the fit pic I made for the Wellgosh Leicester account blew up with that jacket, so it only makes sense. The LQQK Studios jumper is so cosy, warm and unique! I love how raw and natural it looks and feels, plus the little detail with the button on the neck instead of having drawstrings!

What’s your song of the week?

Nookie – Only You (Original Mix), because I love jungle music, and fun fact: he’s Asian. You never really see/hear any Asian jungle producers which is mad for me, an aspiring Asian producer in my free time outside of the shop floor.

What upcoming releases are you most excited about?

I’m super excited for the new Needles SS22 and Engineered Garments SS22 – very excited about the overpants they’re releasing, hoping we get the leopard print overpants!
