The Spezial collection from Adidas makes a well-awaited comeback this February, featuring premium and tastefully curated clothing and footwear from the brand consultant and Adidas fanatic, Gary Aspden. This assembly of military and technical-inspired pieces blend heritage influence with contemporary designs for a modern audience, perfectly balancing smart-casual and match-day clobber.

Leicester City’s own Hamza Choudhury can be seen modelling the Anderston SPZL tracksuit, a classic two-piece that’s smart enough to be worn wherever your schedule takes you, with embroidered branding and durable ripstop pockets on the jacket to keep your valuables safe. Another piece worth mentioning is the Barrowland jacket, with a Mod aesthetic echoing Quadrophenia scooter culture whilst still upholding sportswear detailing; including embroidered badge logos, a peaked hood and oversized side pockets.

Keeping up with the theme of outerwear, the Trongate jacket is a deep red outer shell coat that has both a flat collar and adjustable hood, with a utilitarian design boasting multiple pockets, vintage style branding and the iconic 3-stripe motif to the side pocket. Two other top-half options are included in the latest release; the Meanwood Polo, which comes in a deep Focoli green with a smart low-profile sleeve and hem trim, and the Modtrefoil sweatshirt, decorated with an oversized chest logo for a sportswear feel.

And now for the main event; the shoes. Wellgosh is proud to offer two colourways of the Barrowland; a heritage streamlined silhouette that is incredibly easy to style, echoing other classics like the Samba. The Winterhill is a trail-ready, Winter-friendly pair of shoes featuring hiking-inspired ripstop uppers, durable suede overlays and D-ring fastenings with retro speckled laces. The Lothertex is an updated smart-casual silhouette with a smooth leather upper, featuring a waterproof Adi-Tex lining to keep your feet comfortable and dry; perfect for the unpredictable British weather.

Taking a classic shoe from the Adidas archive, Aspden has reworked the iconic ‘Raider’ to create the Moscrop, a rugged handball style silhouette with a durable Cordura upper and a solid rubber tread with a shock-absorbing foam midsole. Last and certainly not least, the Carnforth boasts a smooth leather and suede panelled olive upper with mudguards at the toe and heel, protecting the upper from sidewalk splashes and muddy puddles. A classic Adidas TreFoil logo is featured as a brown overlay, with a contrasting white tongue print.
Wellgosh love.
