Dr Martens are back at it again with another round of celebratory collaboration 1460 boots.

The iconic 1460 boot turned 60 this year (2020 hey, what a bad year for such big birthday?!) & we’ve been blessed to be a part of their year round celebrations. We’ve seen collaborations land thick & fast (coffee?) with the likes of Pleasures, Needles & Beams/Babylon LA, & October 31st is set to see the next iteration come from a slightly more playful angle, teaming up with cult classic Japanese collectables company Medicom Toy.

We’ve been big fans of Medicom since the early naughties when we first got involved in their range of collectable vinyl toy bears we lovingly refer to as crack. There’s not much more exciting for a shop boy or girl on a dreary Tuesday afternoon than a Be@rbrick to lift the mood & blow away the cobwebs. We used to ask our customers to open them in the shop so we got the thrill of the unveil too!

So imagine our excitement when we saw that the next Dr Martens 1460 boot was in collaboration with Medicom and came executed with embossed Be@rbricks all over.

In addition to this beautiful boot, DM have also released 6 limited edition Be@rbricks to celebrate each decade that the 1460 boot has been in existence. If you’re lucky enough to get the chance to buy one of these we highly recommend; they look great on a door frame or hanging off your Christmas tree (I kid you not, many years have seen my tree adorned with fancy Japanese collectable toys rather than a glass bauble)
